SCORING

​

• The event is judged on horsemanship, stockmanship, the size of the loop, the distance the loop is thrown and the quality of the loop.

• One extra point will be awarded for the use of a reata.

• Points are accumulated for both rounds

• Deductions:

• Missed shots –1

• Lost rope –12

• Wrong cow –6

• ​Excessive roughness of livestock such as dragging by a high hock or excessive choking will lead to a point deduction or disqualification from the round.​
